The Paper Heart Project is a newly created project by me, Vanessa (vanessasucksatblogging.tumblr.com).

The true meaning of the phrase "paper heart" is a heart that's fragile. The point of The Paper Heart Project is for people to write down a time when their heart was fragile on a heart made of paper. Maybe someone broke their heart, maybe someone hurt them in someway, or maybe there's something they just need to get off their chest.

Anyone can participate in The Paper Heart project. Once things get going (hoping that they do), I will try to get a mailing address up for people to send their own paper hearts that don't live near me. Until then, people can scan in their own paper hearts and email them to me at thepaperheartproject@gmail.com. If you don't have a scanner, you can also take a picture of your heart and just upload it then send it. For people in my area, I hope to eventually go around and get people to write down something on paper hearts, so that I can take pictures and post them up kinda as a photography type thing, but that's probably not going to be for a while, considering I lack a good camera and such. For now I'm going to rely on receiving scanned hearts and hopefully getting people I know or just people in my area to write on hearts so I can scan them. I'm excited for when I can start taking pictures though, so expect this to eventually change a bit.

That's about it! If you have a paper heart you've made, just email it to me at thepaperheartproject@gmail.com. Include your name and where you're from (you don't have to put your city if you don't want to), or just tell me you want to be anonymous. You can also use a nickname and such if you'd like.

Note: No matter what you say on your heart and no matter who you are, there's no questions asked. Say anything! If you want to remain anonymous, I promise I will keep your identity confidential.
